August Wrap Up

So, I read a lot in August. That was unexpected. Honestly, I didn’t think I would read that much. I not only complete my TRB list, which is a first, but also completed 8 more books. Which makes a total of 14 books. I can’t believe this.

Books I finished:

– Mrs Dalloway, by Virginia Woolf: I started it in July and had yet to finish it. I had high expectations for this book, but was somehow was disappointed. I wrote a review for it, along with The Hours, by Michael Cunningham, which I completed in July. ★★☆☆☆

– The Help, by Kathryn Stockett. To be honest, I started this one last year, and I really don’t know why I stopped. This book is absolutely amazing. It’s a must read. ★★★★★

It was a really nice and enjoyable read, as well as a quick read, which is always a good point as far as I’m concerned. You can’t not like this book if you like reading, since it’s basically a book about reading. It’s unpredictable until the end, which adds to the fun!

– Quidditch through the Ages, by J.K. Rowling ★★★★★

I read the Tales of Beedle the Bard as well as Fantastic Beasts and where to find them earlier in July, so of course, when I got my hands on this book, I had to buy it and read it right away. I know that Quidditch doesn’t exist (or does it?) but it’s also why I like it, since I usually hate sports. Anyways. My point is, this book was really enjoyable and fun. It’s really instructive, and once again, Rowling has worked wonders. I love the witty comments of Albus Dumbledore, and all the little details. Her writing is extremely witty and remarkable. If you’re a Potterhead, I can guarantee you will like this!

Currently reading:

I am reading Open Minds by Susan Kaye Quinn and struggling with it A LOT but I still decided to finish it.
