Teaser Tuesday #1

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme is hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm.

(And for some reason, I planned it for today instead of tomorrow…)

I found out about it on Cherry’s blog (readforevermore) and I loved the idea so I decided I might as well give it a go! Here are the rules, simple:

1. Grab your current read

2. Open to a random page

3. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

4. Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This is my first time participating in a weekly bookish meme, but I thout it was a really lovely idea, so I will try to make it every week! Feel free to participate and share your “teasers”!

Without further ado, here are mine:

“Even before Lana told us anything, it was obvious something was going on. The only person I’ve interacted with was Darnell, but he knew how to keep his distance.”

This quote come from p.64 of The Kill Order by James Dashner! That’s the prequel to The Maze Runner.

  1. The cover and your teaser grab my attention. I read the Maze Runner and liked it except for the cliff hanger and the fact that having successfully escaped the maze it turned out they were still trapped but in a new game (?). Didn’t watch the movie — it just seemed too gimmicky and way more scary than the book. Given all that, might try this book. My teaser is from a teen read by Anthony Horowitz from his Alex Rider series. It’s called Eagle Strike: wp.me/p3Nz8P-A9

    1. This one is the prequel so it’s a bit different! But if you liked The Maze Runner you will probably like it too! I love the Alex Rider series btw! (your link led me to The 5th Wave though!)
