Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme is hosted by MizB from Books and a Beat.
1. Grab your current read
2. Open to a random page
3. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
4. Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
I’m sharing another quote from The Bell Jar today since I’m still reading it. I didn’t get to finish it for the #Womenruntheworldreadathon but I’ll make sure I do very soon! (And I’ll have to return it at the library at some point, so I better hurry…)
Anyway, I’m having a very busy week so I will try my best with the blog and my reading!
If you haven’t read it yet or heard about it, The Bell Jar is a classic and feminist novel written by Sylvia Plath, and published in 1963.
Without further ado, here is my teaser from p.36:
“Then she slipped a suit jacket over her lilac blouse, pinned a hat of imitation lilacs on the top of her head, powdered her nose briefly and adjusted her thick spectacles. She looked terrible, but very wise.”
She is the narrator’s boss, and director of a magazine in New York!
Hope you enjoyed this teaser!
