Teaser Tuesday #9

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme is hosted by MizB from Books and a Beat.

1. Grab your current read

2. Open to a random page

3. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

4. Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This week I have chosen to present a book I am reading for college. It’s called Mémoirs from beyond the Tomb and was written during the 19th century by French author François René de Chateaubriand.

Genre: Non fiction, Historical

Here is my quote:

“Alexander created cities everywhere he passed: I have left dreams everywhere I have trailed my life.”

Chateaubriand is a dreamy and idealistic narrator who witnessed most the historical and political changes in France during the 19th century. Memoirs from beyond the Tomb, as you probably guessed, is his autobiography.
