Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme is hosted by MizB from Books and a Beat.
1. Grab your current read
2. Open to a random page
3. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
4. Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
I recently bought two poetry books in the Penguin Little Black Classics collection, and I started one of them. I am currently reading A terrible beauty is born by W.B. Yeats and I thought that this could make a great pick for my Teaser Tuesday for this week!
“In a field by the river, my love and I did stand;
And on my leaning shoulder, she laid or snow-white hand.
She bid me take life easy, as the grass grows on her weirs;
But I was young and foolish, and now am fool of tears.”
This is an excerpt from the first poem which is called “Down by the Salley Gardens” and I really liked it.
