The Narnia Booktag [Original]

Hello everyone! A new Narnia movie was announced, which led to me rewatching the already existing ones (obviously) and now I want to reread all the books. So far so good. Narnia is probably one of my favourite things in the world, like really, if you haven’t read those books, you are definitely missing out!

That put aside, this also inspired me to create a booktag for the first time ever, and I am really excited. I don’t think something similar already existed, if it did, please correct me!

And without further ado, here are the questions I made up, and my answers! The rules are simple, you answer the questions, and you tag some people if you want.

1- NARNIA: A magical world you would like to visit

And for this, my answer is obviously Narnia itself. I also love the Wizarding world, but I don’t actually need special powers to go to Narnia. So yeah, Narnia it is.

2- THE MAGICIAN’S NEPHEW: A book you find underrated

For this kind of question my answer is usually One Day by David Nicholls. My favourite book. Read it, it’s the best book ever.

3- THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE: A classic that you love

Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen is definitely one of my favourite classics!

4- THE HORSE AND HIS BOY: A book you picked up without knowing what it was about

I bought Inheritance by Robin Hobb a while ago because 1/ I loved the cover and 2/ it was on sale. I didn’t really read the backcover at the time. I’m not even sure I’m ever going to read this book, it has just been sitting on my shelves forever…

5- PRINCE CASPIAN: A sequel you loved

Of course I could pick any Narnia or Harry Potter book, but I’m going to pick Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins because it’s my favourite book in The Hunger Games trilogy!

6- THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER: A quest you’d like to be a part of

Again, I would love to be a part of the voyage of a Dawn Treader because I want to be part of all things Narnia. However, if I had to pick something that is not in the fandom, I might choose the quest of the Wilted Rose from Inherited by Freedom Matthews! Or the quest that Anya and her friends follow in The Weaver’s Riddle! And of course, there is the Lord of the Rings. And the quest for the Horcruxes and the Deathly Hallows. So many quests. I want to do all things magical actually.

7- THE SILVER CHAIR: A book you didn’t expect to love

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. I first started reading it a few years ago and it didn’t really impress me. I picked it up again a while ago and I absolutely loved it!

8- THE LAST BATTLE: The perfect ending to a series you loved

(Yeah I know this is not from the last battle, since it was not made into a film… yet)

If I were to choose an ending from another fandom then I would definitely choose the ending of The Hunger Games trilogy!

9- THE PEVENSIES: A siblinghood of friendship you would like to be a part of

Of course I would love to be a Pevensie children and go to Narnia, and I would also love to be a Weasley child and go to Hogwarts!

10- EUSTACE SCRUBB: A character who grew on you

And for this one I’m going to pick Draco Malfoy, because the more I drown into the Harry Potter fandom, the more I like him!

11- MR TUMNUS: Your favourite mythical creature

It’s hard to pick, I just wish I could live in a world full of mythical creatures… And my favourite is probably unicors. Unicorns are so cool. In any world. (Pegasus too. But I think I like unicorns better…)

12- CASPIAN: A character with regal qualities

And I’m picking Maxon Schreave from The Selection series!

13- REEPICHEEP: a loyal character

Of course I could pick Reepicheep himself. And if I had to pick a character from another fandom, then I would definitely pick Nevill from the Harry Potter series!

14- THE WARDROBE: your favourite hideout/place to read

And that would be my bedroom of course, cuddled with blankets and cushions!

*****

And that’s it for the questions! I could have come up with more, but I thought 14 was already enough. I hope you enjoyed, and I would love it if you could help me spread the word!

  1. I hate to admit that I haven’t read Narnia yet. I was hoping to read it after Lorf of the Rings. (Too much series to read) thanks for the tag though, it looks like lots of fun 🙂
