January Owlcrate Unboxing | Vengeance Will Be Mine

This box was the last Owlcrate I will be receiving in a while because I have decided to save up money for traveling + get my own apartment, and in the meantime I am also drowning in books, so I can save up at least for now! But it was worth it and I absolutely loved it! For the second time in a row, the Owlcrate book was one that was up my radar, and I am delighted about it. I will try my best to find the time to read in February, and of course will let y’all know about my thoughts!

Honestly, this book contained all three of my favourite bookish items: a mug, a candle, and a pair of socks. What else could a bookworm be asking for? And finally, it also had a little display that appears to be a pin banner, and I am definitely going to make good use of it! I found a spot of it, and am now proudly displying pins from past Nerdy Post boxes, my new Owlcrate pins, and more ♥

December Owlcrate Unboxing | Tales of Trickery

I haven’t been very active this month for two reasons: number one being that with the strikes going on in France I have been driving to work instead of taking the train, which means much less time to read, and therefore less to talk about; reason number two being that with Christmas happening, I have also been pulling off extra hours at work and been super exhausted! But my Owlcrate arrived on Monday and I am delighted about it. I’m about halfway through The Guinevere Deception and I absolutely love it. I’m all the more happy, because I wanted to read it, but would probably not have purchased it any time soon otherwise!

Here are two extra pictures of my unboxing:

Wish you all the best for the rest of the year, as this will most likely be my last post before 2020!

November Owlcrate Unboxing | Through The Enchanted Forest

I haven’t been much active on here lately apparently, except for my monthly wrap ups, but don’t give up on me just yet! Work is tiring and I’m reading a lot (instead of blogging apparently, which is, you know, not that bad because I’m reading books and I have therefore more books to talk about!)

Anyway, back to the TOPIC for today aka the November Owlcrate box, which was themed THROUGH THE ENCHANTED FOREST, which, count me in. I just love this theme so much! It’s magic and mysterious and overall, right up my alley. I absolutely loved the goodies, and before I carry on, here are two extra pictures of my unboxing:

This blanket is honestly one of the best things that has happened to me lately, I am IN LOVE with it. I have also become obsessed with the reading planner, and basically the whole contents of this box! I’m practically taking this new bookmark everywhere with me, and the adorable wooden ornament has found its spot on my door handle. (At least until I find a better idea?)

Since I filmed the video almost two weeks ago, and posted it about a week ago, I actually took the time to read Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw and I completely fell in love with this book. It’s a beautiful story, with a slightly eerie vibe. It’s about magic, and choices, and coming of age. It follows a town that is stuck in the midst of a snow storm. But mostly, we follow Nora Walker, who is coming from a long line of witches, and on the night of the full moon, she finds in the Wicker Wood a boy who has been lost for two weeks…

Can we also take a moment to appreciate how GORGEOUS and STUNNING this cover is?

I feel like this book can’t really compare with anything else I have read, and I loved it for that. It’s slow-paced and mysterious. Little by little, you get to know more about the characters, and I felt like the story was really well-crafted. It has some great twists, and I absolutely loved the writing.

I also realised that the author’s previous book The Wicked Deep has been on my TBR for quite some time and I have yet to pick it up, and oh boy does it look amazing? Hopefully I find the time to check it out soon!

And in conclusion, I feel like I have been BLESSED with this box. Please feel free to share your thoughts if you have also read Winterwood, as I would love to talk about it!

October Owlcrate Unboxing | Dawn of a New World

I haven’t done an unboxing on here in FOREVER so of course I was going to unveil all the wonders that I got in my October Owlcrate. Well, to be fair, I hadn’t received any kind of bookish box in a VERY long time. And I’m so glad I ordered one again. Simply getting bookmail puts me in an excellent mood, and this is even better!

My favourite goodie is probably this necklace inspired by The Lunar Chronicles! Here’s a picture of me wearing it in the storage room at work, I absolutely love it, and I’m delighted to add it it to my collection of nerdy fandom necklaces! I also love that if you don’t know, it’s just a moon shaped necklace, which is already pretty cool, and discreet enough! (Like, it’s not as obvious as a time-turner for example haha)

My second favourite thing about this box is that it contained not only one but two books! They both have gorgeous covers. I already had the time to read I Hope You Get This Message by Farah Naz Rishi, which is an apocalyptic story with aliens who want to destroy the Earth, and I absolutely LOVED it. I have a few things I’d like to read for work, and after that, I cannot wait to pick up Crier’s War by Nina Varela.

This box also contained a set of magnetic bookmarks, a sticker inspired by Warcross by Marie Lu, and two enameled pins to match each of the books! I have also ordered the November “Through the Enchanted Forest” box and I cannot wait to see what it will contain!

Life Update: Some Videos!

Hi bookworms! I realised I haven’t posted in quite some time however I did manage to post two videos on my Booktube channel, so if you’d like, here they are!

I have a Nerdy Post Box unboxing, featuring the Fantasy theme:

And a rant about the new premiere of The 100! Season 5 is finally here, after all this time, and I have some thoughts:

June Nerdy Post Unboxing | Multifandom

After six months without a subscription box I finally ordered another one! When I saw that the one year anniversary theme for Nerdy Post was Multifandom, I knew I had to get it, and oh my, I certainly do not regret it! I love every single item, even if some are not from fandoms I belong in, they are just too gorgeous.

Here’s a video unboxing if you’d like!

And of course, here are some additional pictures so you can admire the precious jewel that this box really is.

Here you can see all the items except for the candle wax thing that I forgot on my bookshelves when I took the picture… And the poster… Anyway. The items are so colourful and beautiful, I just can’t get enough.

Here’s a picture including the poster. And since some of the cards are printed on both sides, this is the other side for those, and they are both fantastic and gorgeous.

Some more multifandom love with the little candle wax things, and let me tell you, their smell is absolutely divine.

And of course I had to take a Harry Potter themed picture with this awesome wrist band. I love the design so much, the drawings are adorable, and it’s really easy to wear.

And finally a Game of Thrones themed picture with this amazing quote about Samwell Tarly and books, what else could one ask for.

Thank you so much for checking out this post, I hope you enjoyed! If you want to check out Nerdy Post, here’s their website. Have a wonderful day ♥

December Nerdy Post Unboxing: Fantastic Beasts

The theme for the December Nerdy Post box was Fantastic Beasts, so of course I had to order it (my wallet hates me). If you don’t know what Nerdy Post is, first, here is a link to their website. It is a monthly subscription books that picks each time a fandom theme, and sends you stationery! Bookmarks, notebooks, cards… I will let you watch my unboxing now if you are curious. Apparently they also made a new surbsciption with T-shirts if that is also your thing!

I also took some pictures with the amazing items I received, and I wanted to share them with you, of course. This is the whole point of this post after all.

The books and the funko were NOT included in the box, I just got them for Christmas and added them for the pictures. I am absolutely delighted with this box, it is exactly the kind of thing that I love.

If you are curious, the theme for January is Star Wars, and the theme for February is Sherlock, you can order it now on Nerdy Post’s website! I won’t though, because I don’t have much money left now, but I will definitely keep an eye on them!

November Owlcrate: Wonderland ♥

I couldn’t resist ordering the Owlcrate box for November, since the theme was Wonderland, and I’m so glad I did! You can watch my video unboxing, and I will also add pictures below with the references for the shops!

This month’s box included TWO BOOKS and I am absolutely over the moon. The first one is this adorable, special edition of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, and the other one is Heartless by Marissa Meyer, and I have been eying it ever since I learnt it would come out, so I’m really excited!

The magnet (down-right corner) was designed by Evie Bookish.

The tea is a unique blend designed specifically for this box, and it’s absolutely delicious. It is called Mad Hatter’s Wonderland Elixir and it was made by Riddle’s Tea Shoppe.

The clipper bookmark was designed by Authored Adornments and the cover of Alice in Wonderland as well as the other bookmark were designed by Risa Rodil!

Heartless also came with this pretty coaster/card adorable thingy. I just finished reading it and it was absolutely amazing, review coming soon!
